Hermosa in Pink brought our community together in the most incredible way to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
From Palmilla to the pink-lit Hermosa Beach Pier Plaza, our community showed up, and together we raised $15K for The Butterfly Strong Foundation!
As the sun went down, breast cancer patients, survivors and butterflies of all ages gathered with friends and families under the pink pier lights. It was a beautiful reminder of why this month matters.
The day started LIVE on KTLA 5 Morning News sharing the Butterfly Strong mission and was perfectly bookended by KTLA 5 Evening News as Hermosa Beach Pier Plaza turned pink.
So many hands and hearts made the night possible, beginning with our title sponsor Fulbright Dental, Palmilla, the City of Hermosa Beach, KTLA 5 and our generous donors and community partners.
Flowers by Felicia, Kelly I Designs, Creative Indulgence, Cat’s Tru Beauty, Poetry Von Chelle, photographer Steve Gaffney and McKibbin Brothers brought their time and talents to the night.
Our incredible volunteers included Ali M., Carol, Cat, CR, Denise, Dorcey, Gina, Jameson, Jenny, Justine, Kelly, Lemmy, Michelle, Miss Emily and Vanessa, alongside our Butterfly Strong Advisory Board, Ali R., Christina, Gwen and Shannon, whose commitment to our mission means so much.
Our Pick a Prize table was made possible by Fulbright Dental, Salty Life Skin Care, Jennifer Croll Boutique, Soho Yoga, Jessica Luengo Pilates, Mis Amigos Spanish, Miss Emily’s Piano Studio, Sweat2Swim Swimwear and Malibu Dana Activewear, and special thanks to the Bowman/Hoffman Family and the Rodriguez Family for their generous prize donations.
Most of all, thank you to Hermosa Beach for showing up in pink. This was the charitable goodness of our community in action.
